About Alan
Alan Burlon has entertained audiences across Toronto and the GTA for more than 25 years with his mastery of the accordion. His love of classic Latin rhythm was the inspiration for Nostalgia, Alan's first CD. On Nostalgia, timeless melodies are given new passion as the vibrant sound of the accordion is combined with South American style percussion and strings.
Alan began studying the accordion at the age of 9 with the Ontario Conservatory of Music. His talent was widely recognized and he won several prestigious music competitions throughout Ontario.
Upon completion of his formal training, Alan decided to concentrate his energy on performing and developing an impressive musical repertoire containing a wide variety of songs - from traditional Italian tarantella’s and European folk songs, to modern day standards.
Today, Alan's music can be heard on select radio stations, such as the Jewel 88.5, both in Toronto and Ottawa, The Breeze, 107.7 in Winnipeg and Escape on Sirius Satellite Radio. He also performs at weddings, anniversary parties, birthday celebrations, festivals and various other venues and functions.
Alan enjoys wide open spaces and lives in Caledon. Fluent in Italian, Alan's hobbies include wine making, and honing his woodworking skills.
Not only is Alan an accomplished musician, he is the proud owner of a successful HVAC company, Noblewood Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd.
In addition to music, Alan's great passion is for his family. He is married and has three children.
